Environmental compliance without surprises

The most-read questions on our standards pages are which parameters are exceeded, how often to test and what happens if you are out of compliance. We answer them with a sampling schedule and reports ready for the local water utility or CONAGUA.

What we control in each system

SystemDosing and maintenanceTesting
Cooling towers and chillersScale inhibitor, corrosion inhibitor and oxidizing biocide dosed every 24 h by metering pump; non-oxidizing biocide weekly; physical cleaning of the tower every 12 months if neededSampling and testing every 15 or 30 days
BoilersOxygen scavenger and dispersant dosed every 4 h by metering pump; amine for the condensate return every 24 hSampling and testing every 15 days
Service and process waterSodium hypochlorite dosed daily by metering pump; hardness test kit for the operator every 60 daysPhysicochemical and bacteriological testing every 15 or 30 days
DischargesComposite sample: BOD₅, COD, suspended solids, fats, oils and grease, pHNOM-001 / NOM-002 every 2 to 4 months, or monthly if the authority requires it

Frequencies taken from our monthly contract proposals (2014–2026) and from our discharge testing invoices (2023–2026). They are adjusted after the first assessment.

Industrial water treatment: frequently asked questions

Answers to your questions about industrial water treatment

What kind of chemicals do you offer for industrial systems?

Specialized chemical programs for boilers, cooling towers, chillers, hot water systems and general service water. They include corrosion inhibitors, scale control products, biocides and products for the chemical stabilization of water.

Why is chemical treatment important in cooling towers and chillers?

Chemical treatment prevents scale, corrosion and microbiological growth that can affect equipment performance. A proper program improves thermal efficiency, reduces energy use and extends the service life of the system.

What does a chemical program for industrial boilers include?

It includes hardness control, scale inhibitors, oxygen scavengers, alkalinity control and monitoring of water parameters to prevent corrosion, mineral deposits and system failures.

Do you test water for industrial systems?

Yes. We arrange physicochemical and microbiological testing through EMA-accredited laboratories to evaluate water quality in boilers, cooling towers, cooling systems and general service water, so we can fine-tune the chemical treatment program.

Do you test wastewater for regulatory compliance?

Yes. We arrange testing through EMA-accredited laboratories to verify compliance with NOM-001-SEMARNAT and NOM-002-SEMARNAT, Mexico’s wastewater discharge standards, covering parameters such as BOD₅, COD, suspended solids, fats, oils and grease, pH and other contaminants.

What filtration equipment do you offer for industry?

We offer filtration systems to improve water quality in industrial processes, including multimedia filters, activated carbon filters, cartridge filters and water softening systems.

How do I know if my plant needs a filtration system?

A water analysis identifies suspended solids, turbidity, hardness or contaminants that can affect industrial processes, thermal equipment or piping systems.

What does an industrial plant gain from a comprehensive water treatment program?

It gains higher efficiency in thermal equipment, less scale and corrosion, lower energy use, regulatory compliance and more reliable industrial processes.
