Water treatment services: frequently asked questions

What kind of water treatment does my business need?

It depends on your water source, your processes and the regulations that apply to you. An initial assessment evaluates the incoming water quality, identifies the specific contaminants and determines the right treatment: filtration, softening, reverse osmosis, chemical treatment or a combination.

What is the difference between water filtration and purification?

Filtration retains solid particles with physical media (sand, carbon, membranes). Purification goes further: it removes dissolved contaminants, microorganisms and chemical compounds with technologies such as reverse osmosis, UV or ion exchange. Many systems combine both.

Do you offer preventive maintenance for treatment systems?

Yes. Our preventive maintenance programs include periodic inspections, filter media replacement, clean-in-place (CIP) membrane cleaning, calibration of dosing equipment and monitoring of operating parameters, with a log of every visit.

What is water softening, and when is it needed?

Softening removes calcium and magnesium (hardness) from water with ion-exchange resins. It is essential when the water feeds boilers, cooling towers or laundry equipment, since hardness causes scale that lowers thermal efficiency and shortens equipment life.

How long does it take to install a treatment system?

It depends on the project. Standard equipment is usually delivered 4 to 5 weeks after the deposit, and a typical filtration and softening installation takes 2 to 4 business days; larger projects, such as a wastewater treatment plant, take longer. Every technical proposal includes a detailed schedule.
